Congratulations, Ashley!

Sorry for the motion sickness, but we had to bring it back!

After massive celebrations last week, and a super dee-duper awesome announcement the week before, we’re pulling out the cartwheels and confetti yet again to say—

Congratulations, Ashley!!

Clinical intern Ashley Saint-Cyr earned an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a B.S. in Exercise Science from Florida State University.

Clinical intern for Temple Fit Co’s nonprofit arm Temple Fit Health, Inc.,  Ashley has been a great addition to our clincal missions team this semester. However, we’re no stranger to Ashley’s unique brand of awesome. 

SSS-STEM Students were excited to visit University of South Florida’s Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS), which Ashley organized before starting her master’s program.

Temple Fit Co’s program director and self-care specialist Dr. Asha worked very closely with Ashley when Ashley served as the academic coordinator for the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) Student Support Services-STEM (SSS-STEM) program at Florida State University (FSU). Under her leadership, first-generation science, technology, engineering, and math students visited the Southeast’s top medical schools and health care centers, osteopathic schools, athletic training programs, engineering programs, technology start-ups, advanced research facilities, and more during the Florida and Georgia graduate school tours. Students were also mentored by FSU Alumni and minority professionals in the STEM industries.

In partnership with Atlanta-based professional services and technology support company Correlate.Work, Ashley connected FSU students with minority tech professionals and entrepreneurs during the STEM graduate tour.

While we’re fond of a good road trip, we’re so proud of Ashley for a new adventure that will take place right here in Tallahassee, FL.

Ashley has been offered a seat in FSU’s College of Medicine, Class of 2022!

A budding family physician, Ashley’s gentle care and concern for everyone she meets is undeniable. With her peaceful strength, she offers a grounding sense of assurance, compassion, and support. We love when she joins our clinic visits to the Chelsea House (a residential program for women in crisis), because she is knowledgeable, caring, and a great mentor for our younger interns.
